The Australian unit of condom-maker Durex is on the look out for 200 men and women to test its products.

Durex Australia said the chosen researchers would have to report back on the performance of its range.

While those selected will not be paid, they will get free packs of Durex products and be entered into a A$1,000 ($854; £425) prize draw.

Following a similar request for testers in the UK, Durex said it would welcome humorous application letters.

'Brag to mates'

"With this job on your CV, it really will be a chance to brag to your mates about the special skills you possess, not to mention that your new role will work wonders with the opposite sex," said Durex marketing manager Sam White.

Applicants have been asked to explain why they would be most suited to the role.

The chosen 200 will be urged to provide honest feedback.

Durex is owned by UK based SSL International.
